NitroAV's 3-Port FireWire 800/1394b Professional PCI Host Adapter Interface supporting 32-Bit & 64-Bit Bus Systems (Mac/WIN) adds 2x FireWire 800 (9Pin) & 1x FireWire400 (6Pin) ports capable of up to double the transfer-speed efficiency of the original FireWire technology. It provides a seamless connection for DVD, CD-ROM, or external hard drives, and allows you to connect multiple computers and devices simultaneously. The newest IEEE 1394b pecification, FireWire 800 provides real-time data-critical for streaming video or audio applications. The FireWire 800 3-Port PCI Card provides excellent results for bandwidth-intensive transfers with high-speed external disk drives, portable storage devices, digital audio and video, and home entertainment components.

FireWire 800 is backward compatible, meaning your legacy devices will work with the new hardware.
