With data transfer speeds up to 150MBytes/sec (real-world observations: over 3.5X speed of USB 2.0 and much faster then Firewire800), SATA is quickly becoming the gold standard for high-speed data transfer. This card instantly adds two Serial ATA ports to your laptop computer, letting you connect cutting-edge SATA drives.

Mobile professionals: graphic, digital video and digital audio users will quickly see that the huge value in the increase speeds and throughputs. Serial ATA is a high-speed serial link replacement for the parallel ATA (IDE) attachment of mass storage devices. The serial link employed is a high-speed differential layer that utilizes Gigabit technology and 8b/10b encoding. The current data rate is 1.5Gb/s (=150MB/s).

The NitroAV SATA CardBus supports 2x eSATA ports with RAID 0 and 1** features, The built-in chipset provides 256-byte FIFOs, watchdog, 32-bit CardBus transfer features. NitroAV is the best choice for connecting Serial-ATA external devices to your portable computer.
